Haas Racing is on the move with their twin-engine streamliner. Our good friend Lee Hulbert is the Chief Mechanic. He reports the car set a record of 308.816 MPH at Speedweek in August 2006, running only one engine! They are now feverishly working to install the other engine for this year’s August event. The plan (hope) is to run the car to over 400 MPH! That would be a third record! Since the Haas surfbars were two of the first built by Blue Fin, the accomplishments of the streamliner and roadster hold a special interest with us. We wish them great success at Speedweek 2007! |
